Wrongful Death After PCH DUI Accident

On March 7, one man from Oxnard was killed in a DUI accident on Pacific Coast Highway near Mugu Rock. Four other males were injured in the crash.

The man from Oxnard was driving southbound on the highway in a 2010 BMW sedan. He was north of Mugu Rock. CHP stated that his vehicle traveled into the northbound lanes and directly in front of a 2004 GMC sport utility vehicle.

According to the VC Star, the front end of the BMW collided with the front end of the GMC. This caused the BMW to propel into the northbound side of the highway. The GMC was on the southbound side of the highway after the collision.

Officials noted that the auto accident occurred on a clear night at 12:20 a.m.

CHP officers revealed that it was unknown why the BMW crossed into the path of the GMC or how fast it was traveling before the collision.

The driver of the BMV was sent to the Ventura County Medical Center by ambulance. Medical personnel pronounced him dead at the hospital. His name is unknown to the public as the release of that information is pending notification from the next of kin.

In the process, he hit a Toyota SUV in a head-on collision. This caused the Toyota to catch on fire. The driver of the Subaru and four people in the Toyota were killed as a result of the collision. In December, a male driver in a 2021 Mazda SUV hit two pedestrians who were standing on a dirt shoulder next to their parked vehicle. One was killed as a result of the hit.
