Paul Cummins


Paul Cummins has over 40 years of litigation experience. He specializes in personal injury, workers’ compensation and criminal defense. Paul has spent nearly 10 years representing individuals, including police officers and firefighters, in civil cases regarding on and off the job injuries and at commission hearings.

He spent 34 years at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, where he tried over 200 jury trials, more than 50 of those were murder and arson cases.



Honors & Awards

Mr. Cummins was twice voted “Instructor of the Year” for P.O.S.T. ICI courses and has lectured over 100 times at Police Academies, the State Fire Marshall’s Office and the California District Attorneys Association.

He has received numerous citations and awards from prestigious organizations including:

  • Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives
  • Mayors of San Francisco
  • Senator Dianne Feinstein

Most recently, Mr. Cummins received an award from the Emerald Society of the San Francisco Police Department for Citizen of the Year.

Mr. Cummins is a proud graduate of Gonzaga University. He received his JD from Hastings College of Law in 1971 and joined the California Bar Association in 1972.
